From $60

SSD upgrade with file migration

Install a compatible SSD in a desktop PC, migrate an accessible existing system, and test it.

From $120

Custom PC assembly and testing

From $240

Your diagnostic fee counts toward the repair.

Approve the same computer’s repair within 30 days of diagnosis and the $60 diagnostic fee is deducted from the repair total. For example: a $90 tune-up after a $60 diagnosis leaves $30 in labor to pay.

These are starting prices for the services described. Unusual complexity or additional work can increase the cost, but you’ll receive the full price and approve it before that work begins. Parts and software licenses are listed separately. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee covers troubleshooting already performed.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Good questions.
Simple answers.

Don’t see your question?
Just ask Brian ↗

How much will it cost?

All base labor prices are listed in the price list. The minimum diagnostic fee is $60. Any additional diagnostic work is discussed and approved in advance. Your $60 diagnostic fee is credited toward the same computer’s repair if you approve the repair within 30 days of diagnosis. If you choose not to repair it, the diagnostic fee covers the troubleshooting already performed. Parts are quoted separately when needed, and extra work requires your approval.

Should I fix it or replace it?

It depends on the computer’s condition and what you need it to do. I’ll help you understand whether a repair, upgrade, or replacement makes sense.

What if I don’t know what’s wrong?

That’s okay. Describe what you see, what changed, or what you’re trying to do. A photo of an error message can help. Technical terms aren’t required.

What about my photos and personal files?

Tell me which files matter and whether you have a backup. We’ll agree on a backup or transfer plan before work that could affect your data. Don’t send passwords or sensitive files in your first message.

Do you work on Macs or laptops?

I work on Windows PCs only; Mac and other Apple-device services are not offered. Windows laptop help includes setup, software troubleshooting, and file transfers. Hardware repairs, upgrades, and custom assembly focus on desktop PCs.

Can I bring parts I’ve already bought?

Yes. Send the parts list first so I can review compatibility and assembly needs. Desktop upgrades and custom builds include stability testing.
